The critique session today helped to get feedback with what I need to work on for editing my pictures. When critiquing on others posts, it helps to notice the differences in photographers and opens up new ideas to explore the next time you go to take pictures. However, it is a little hard to get the complete feedback you want when everyone is working on different techniques/skills to take these pictures. For example, I am focusing a lot of my work on the editing process of the images, but Clare is practicing film work. I had not previous knowledge of how film works, so I did just try to corporate the things that I do know into what I saw.
Critique #2
My peers made note that I am sticking to my artist statement well and capturing the audience’s eyes through color and the “unseen.” One thing that I can work on is making better foreground features. They appreciated the seventh photo where it has been cropped down because there is just enough focus to the tree that they can notice its presence, but it does not override the rest of the photo. For future note, I can work on how my photos will create a theme together and match well to serve a purpose.
