My inspiration for making this photo has to deal with the complexities of growing up. The stuff animal present symbolizes a fun, sweet, and innocent childhood. However, the scissors are the hand of adulthood/reality to let the kid know their time is coming. I specifically choose the scissors to show that this is a harsh concept. The fact that the scissors are behind the stuffed animal represents the idea of growing up has always been there, but it doesn’t hit until a sudden moment.
